Information we collect

When you contact us or become a client, we may collect:

• Your name, business name, email address and telephone number.
• Information about your enquiry, project, budget and preferred timescale.
• Correspondence, quotations, contracts, invoices and payment records.
• Information you provide while we deliver support or website services.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, enter into and perform contracts, deliver support, maintain business records, protect our services and comply with legal obligations. Our lawful bases will normally be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with law, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business.

Who receives it

We only share information where necessary with trusted service providers, including website hosting, form-processing, email, accounting and payment providers, or with professional advisers and authorities where required by law. Our contact form is currently processed using Formspark. Some providers may process information outside the UK and must use appropriate safeguards where required.

How long we keep it

Enquiry information is normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months if no working relationship begins. Client, contractual and financial records are kept for as long as needed to provide services and meet tax, accounting, legal and dispute-resolution requirements. We securely delete information when it is no longer required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive certain information in a portable format. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies are small files or similar technologies stored on, or accessed from, your device when you visit a website.

Our current use of cookies

At the date shown above, the Ambition IT website does not intentionally use advertising, behavioural-tracking or non-essential analytics cookies. A cookie consent banner is therefore not currently displayed.

When a limited-time offer is displayed, session storage may remember that you dismissed it so it does not repeatedly appear during the same browser session. This preference is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and is removed when the browser session ends.

Essential services and external websites

Our hosting or security infrastructure may use strictly necessary technology to deliver and protect the website. Links to third-party websites—such as social networks—are governed by those providers’ own privacy and cookie policies once you leave our website.

Future changes

If we introduce analytics, embedded media, live chat, advertising or another technology requiring consent, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate choice before the relevant technology is used.

These website terms provide general information about working with Ambition IT. Your quotation, project brief or service agreement will confirm the specific scope, price, timescale and deliverables for your project. Where they conflict, the signed or expressly accepted project agreement takes priority.

Quotations and scope

• Website calculator results and initial discussions are estimates, not binding quotations.
• A project begins only after the scope, price and payment arrangements are agreed.
• Additional work or revisions outside the agreed scope may require a revised price and timescale.

Payment

• Projects priced at £999 or less are normally payable upfront.
• Projects over £999 are normally split 50% before work begins and 50% on completion, unless agreed otherwise.
• Hosting, domains, licences and third-party subscriptions may be charged separately.
• Final files, credentials or website transfer may be withheld until overdue project invoices are paid, where lawful.

Promotional offers

• Each promotion applies only to the service and booking period shown with that offer.
• Unless stated otherwise, a percentage discount applies to the base website build price and excludes add-ons, hosting, management and third-party charges.
• Promotions cannot normally be combined and remain subject to project availability and written confirmation.
• The final scope, price and payment arrangements will still be confirmed in your quotation.

Cancellations and refunds

Advance payments reserve project time and allow work to begin. If you cancel, Ambition IT may retain or charge a fair amount reflecting work already completed and direct losses caused by the cancellation. Any remaining balance will be refunded where appropriate. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer cancellation and refund rights.

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate instructions, timely feedback, necessary access and content you have the right to use. You remain responsible for checking and approving final text, prices, claims, policies and regulatory information before publication.

Ownership and third-party services

Unless agreed otherwise, ownership of custom deliverables transfers after full payment. Ambition IT retains ownership of pre-existing tools, reusable code and know-how. Third-party platforms, domains, plugins, licences and services remain subject to their providers’ terms, availability and charges.

Service standards and liability

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific search rankings, sales or business results. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Any other limits will be set out fairly in the applicable project agreement.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts that may hear a dispute depend on the parties and any mandatory consumer rights.

Ambition IT wants this website to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible. We aim to follow recognised accessibility practices and use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our reference point when reviewing and improving the site.

What we aim to provide

• Clear headings, readable text and consistent navigation.
• Keyboard-accessible links, buttons and forms.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Sufficient colour contrast and layouts that adapt to smaller screens.
• Reduced animation where a device requests reduced motion.

Current status

This website has not yet undergone an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full WCAG conformity. Some third-party services or linked websites are outside our control. We will review and address reported barriers where reasonably possible.
